Welcome Interns!

We are excited to have three interns here with us in our Sunnyvale, CA office!

Kaitlyn, Lucas, and Brian are all from Santa Clara University, which is about 10 minutes away from our office, and they will be helping us with marketing and sales for the next three months. The three of them will be working together to help Transfluent, but at the same time, they will be competing with one another since one of them will be offered a full time position at the end of the three months program. They will be writing blog posts as well as going to events to represent us, so stay tuned for more updates!

Let’s get to know them better!

I am a marketing major from Santa Clara University. I was born on December 31st, 1992 and I grew up in Sunnyvale, CA. I am the Chief Operating Officer of Kappa Alpha Theta and previously I was the New Member Director. My hobbies are reading and cooking and watching documentaries. I love learning about space and the universe. My favorite place to go is Santa Cruz because I love their food and the beach. Before I get too old, I want to travel back to Chile and all through Europe. I also want to go skydiving.

I study Communications with a Management Information Systems minor at Santa Clara University and will graduate in 2015. While I don’t have a set career path at the moment, I hope to either stay in Communication or Marketing-related careers or potentially attend graduate school and pursue an MSIS. I originally grew up in Daly City with my mother, father, grandmother, and younger sister, but I spent most of my time in San Francisco for school or other activities, such as hanging out with friends or playing competitive sports. Going to school at Santa Clara University was a huge jump for me, because I was the first in my family to live away from home. When I’m not studying or working on papers, I love to watch sports, play basketball, video games, and guitar, work out, go out to the movies, and hang out with good company, such as family and friends.

I just recently finished up my junior year at Santa Clara University and will be entering my senior year when I return in the fall. I am currently majoring in Operations Management Information Systems (OMIS) and minoring in Chinese. I attended a Mandarin immersion school from K-8 and have also been to China on three separate occasions. I am particularly interested in the field of data mining with regards to my major. Some interesting things about myself are that I am fluent in Mandarin and I also have a twin brother who attends UCSB. Some of my hobbies are playing soccer, going skiing, mountain biking, and practically anything else outdoors.
